The Y Club is a health club on Liverpool Rd in Castlefield. The facilities include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, studio, and a large sports hall with a 100m running track. The Y club runs a Saturday Junior Y club which is open to children ages 3- 16. Junior Y includes:5 a side football, badminton, table tennis, arts and crafts and soft play and ball pool for under 5's in the sports hall 10:00am - 12:00pm (3-16yrs) Junior Judo 9:30am - 11:00am (5-16yrs) Junior Wrestling 11:00am - 12.45pm (5-16yrs) Break dance 1:00pm - 2:00pm (4-16yrs)Aikido 1:00pm - 2:00pm (5-16yrs)Fun swim 12:00pm - 1:00pm (all ages) Trampolining 2:00pm - 3:00pm (4-16yrs)Street Dance 2:00pm - 3:00pmThe Y Club runs some after school activities. Junior wrestling Mondays 5:00pm - 6:30pm and Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:45pmTrampolining Wednesdays 4:30pm - 5:30pmThe Y Club also runs a community access scheme. This allows local community groups, such as drug and alcohol groups, hostels, homeless charities to access the facilities for a nominal fee during an alloted slot on weekdays. The groups must be accompanied by a group leader and can bring up to 8 group members.

Youth Service Project providing a wide range of challenging, creative and adventurous opportunities including sport, drama, IT, music and dance. Opportunities to achieve through accredited education programmes leading to nationally recognised qualifications, including participation in the Duke of Edinburgh s Award. Opportunities to be involved in group work, residential trips and trans-national exchange programmes. Channels to have a voice and be part of decision making on local and national issues through Young People s Council, UK Youth Parliament and local Youth forums. Access to confidential support and guidance, advice and information including Young People s Counselling Service.
